In the area of specialty publishing, we have published church anniversary books, genealogy books, personal remembrances.
Last year The Donnell Group published an attractive hardback book on the Church of the Ascension in Montgomery, Alabama upon the church’s 100th anniversary. The book is entitled "The Church of the Ascension: A Resurrection Story," written by Lynn Willoughby. The Donnell Group participated in the editing of the manuscript as well as the photography selection, and designed the dust jacket and book. The book includes 75 black and white photos, as well as a 16 page section of color photographs of the current church and its membership.
Also last year, The Donnell Group published a 300 page genealogy book, Iron Butterfly,” written by Terry Sellers, Jr., concerning a family in the Southern U.S. and its Scots-Irish heritage. The hardback book includes more than 150 black and white photos, maps and documents.

We have published the personal remembrance, “Only Doing My Job: Memories of a World War II Fighter
Pilot.” A World War II veteran approached us with his rough
notes of his experiences and his goal of producing a booklet that
he could give to his grandchildren and other family members and
friends so they would understand not only his vital role in World
War II, but also so they could appreciate the magnitude of the
War itself. We conducted several interviews with the veteran, rewrote
his notes and with War-time photos he provided we designed the
book, saw it into print, and delivered books to him in time for
him to pass them out at his family’s annual Easter reunion. |
We’ve also contracted our writing services to other publishers
who sought us out for our expertise in researching and writing biographies
and special interest books. We wrote, “Hunting: The Southern
Tradition,“ a widely popular “coffee table” book. We
wrote, “Shug: The Life and Times of Auburn’s Ralph ‘Shug’ Jordan,” with
the foreword written by Georgia football coaching great Vince Dooley.
We also wrote, “The Hig: Penn State’s Football Legacy, The
Higgins-Suhey Family,” with the foreword provided by the legendary
Joe Paterno.
So as you see, we have done and we can do whatever it takes,
in whatever investment structure is required, to publish a book, market
it and sell it or simply deliver it into your hands. |
